Discworld Core Rulebook - Digest Size
Based on Sir Terry Pratchett’s beloved fantasy series, Discworld: Adventures in Ankh-Morpork is the officially licensed Discworld tabletop roleplaying game. Set in the series’ most enthusiastically self-interested city, it invites you to tell stories where heroism, bureaucracy, and improbable coincidence collide with remarkable regularity.
“Poets have tried to describe Ankh-Morpork. They have failed. Perhaps it’s the sheer zestful vitality of the place — a city as full of life as an old cheese on a hot day, as loud as a curse in a cathedral, as bright as an oil slick, as colourful as a bruise.” – Mort
At its heart is the Narrativium system, created specifically for life on the Disc. Using the standard seven-dice polyset (d4 to d20), the rules are designed to stay out of the way whenever the story demands it — fast, flexible, and occasionally optional, much like many of Ankh-Morpork’s civic regulations.
The 295-page, full-colour, digest-size (242mm x 162mm) core rulebook features:
The complete Narrativium rules system, purpose-built for Discworld, plus guidance for gamemasters crafting stories worthy of the Disc.
Full character creation rules and five pregenerated Thieves Guild characters for players who want to hit the streets running.
A tour of selected locations and organisations of Ankh-Morpork, from the Unseen University to the Shades, Sator Square, the Guilds, and The Patrician’s Palace.
Profiles of notable faces such as Archchancellor Mustrum Ridcully, the Librarian, Rincewind, Commander Vimes, and Lord Vetinari, plus an NPC generator for populating the city.
Bad Eggs in the Big City, a 50-page introductory adventure packed with the mischief and civic complications of an average day in Ankh-Morpork.
