Playing Cards celebrating the art of Joan Miro (1893–1983), the Catalan artist whose work moves between Surrealism, abstraction and a uniquely personal visual language. Emerging in a time of conflict, Miro rejected the intensity of his contemporaries, creating instead a world of symbols, colour and imaginative freedom.

Miro’s paintings fuse dream and reality, combining abstract forms with elements drawn from folk art and the subconscious. His work is at once playful and considered, where simplified shapes and vivid colours create a language that feels both spontaneous and carefully balanced.
