The Darkness at the Brink of Ohio is a solo horror journal game with a soundtrack. It's about a local radio show in the Akron, Ohio area that was heard statewide before it happened. DJ Mike of 106.6 The Brink was doing his nightly show when something strange took over, causing a terrible event to happen to his listeners.
You play as one of the listeners working the night shift. You document your work in a journal while listening to DJ Mike undergo his transformation into something beyond this realm. This game uses a soundtrack that you can listen to while you journal and respond to prompts.
The main themes of this game are parasocial relationships and hypervisibility within a small fanbase.
