The Lord of the Rings Animated Film PVC Figure Set: Merry & Pippin and Boromir

Dark Horse and Middle-earth are continuing their line of 3-piece figure sets based on Ralph Bakashi’s 1978 animated adaptation of The Lord of the Rings with Merry, Boromir, and Pippin.

The 1978 The Lord of the Rings is a bold, utilizing innovative rotoscoping tracing over live-action footage—it ambitiously adapts The Fellowship of the Ring and part of The Two Towers. Though famous for its shadowy, atmospheric visuals, the planned sequel was never completed.

Each figure ranges from 5” to 7.5” tall and have been brought to life by Chris Dahlberg with paint by J.W. Productions. Even though The One Ring’s power nearly succeeds in corrupting Boromir, he overcomes temptation to save the lives of his Hobbit friends, Merry and Pippin!
