The Lord of the Rings Trilogy - Miniature Statue - Sharkû on Warg
An Orc of withered years and many wounds, upon his seamed visage lay records of long strife and harsh labour. Sharku was a master of the great Wild Wolves, those fell Wargs, whose cunning and savagery few could tame. Long had he dwelt among them, bearing upon his flesh their piercing bites and tearing claws. Yet he endured and, honed by skill and scar, savagely led his pack of unrelenting hunters.
Originally created for the film trilogy, Sharku held a unique place in Middle-earth, and quickly became a memorable bad guy for audiences around the world. Now, we have had the joy of revisiting him once again, transforming one of our earliest creations into a finely crafted collectible.
Sculptor Luke Hawker, who has been part of Wētā Workshop’s Middle-earth story since the very beginning, drew deeply from that original source of inspiration. With great care, he refined every detail, from the rough, tattered skins and pelts to the textures of the Orc’s prosthetics, ensuring they capture the same raw energy that first fuelled our designs for the films.
